Intermediate Unit #5

GED Preparation and Skill Review for College or Job Improvement Free classes are offered through the IU#5 at the Warren Forest Hi-Ed Council. Instruction will help prepare students to take the General Education Diploma (GED) examination. The Skill Review class is designed to help students improve their skills in English, Writing and Math for job advancement and/or college preparation. Cost: Free

Daytime Classes: Free
Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. and from 1:00-4:00 p.m.

Evening Classes: Free, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday from 5:30-8:30 p.m.

GED Exam Cost: $125, Presession included.
Writing, Math, Social Studies, Science and Reading. Registration is now being taken. Two forms of ID–one must be a photo.

GED Exam Presession
To complete online registration and paperwork, and to watch a video on exam procedures.

Payment is required with registration. Minimum enrollment required for Exam to be held.
Cost of Retakes: All retakes cost $40 each, up to four tests may be retaken.

There are 3 Steps TO REGISTER FOR THE EXAM.

1. You are required to have your own e-mail account before registering for the GED Exam. You can set up an e-mail account free online at your public library. Go online to Yahoo.com, Hotmail.com, or Gmail.com.

2. To register for the Erie or Warren GED Exam, print and complete the Registration Form. To reserve your seat, send the Form along with a check or money order to: Warren Forest Higher Education Council, 589 Hospital Drive, Suite F, Warren, PA 16365

You will need to provide the following information before the GED Exam Presession.

3. Presession attendance is required. Bring two forms of identification - one must be a photo.

Presession – Monday, June 11 from 8:30-9:30 a.m. at Hi-Ed in Warren.
GED Exam – Monday/Tuesday,
June 18, 19 from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Hi-Ed.

Corry Hi-Ed Council
GED Exam given in Corry, Pa. To register, call Corry Hi-Ed at 814-664-9405.
Pre-registration and payment required to reserve your seat.
Minimum enrollment required for Exam to be held.

EXAM DATES:
Presession – Tuesday, April 17 from 8:30-9:30
a.m. and 4:30-5:30 p.m. at Corry Hi-Ed.
GED Exam –
Tuesday, April 24 from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. at Corry Hi-Ed.

Erie GED Exam
GED Exam given at Edinboro University in Erie - The Porreco Center, 2951 West 38th Street, Erie, PA.

160+-hours; Tuesday/Thursday, September 2012-April 2013 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Hi-Ed. Application Fee: $100.
The Diploma Program provides adults who want to earn a high school diploma the opportunity to bridge the gap between the General Education Diploma (GED) and skills needed for better job opportunities, a new career, or a successful college experience.

Program presenters include: Family Services, Jamestown Audubon Center, Jamestown Business College, Jamestown Community College, University of Pittsburgh-Bradford.

The Program requires:

Each participant who graduates will earn a Warren County School District High School Diploma and complete a Portfolio. The course work includes:
