Intermediate Unit #5
GED Preparation and Skill Review for College or Job Improvement Free classes are offered through the IU#5 at the Warren Forest Hi-Ed Council. Instruction will help prepare students to take the General Education Diploma (GED) examination. The Skill Review class is designed to help students improve their skills in English, Writing and Math for job advancement and/or
college preparation.
Evening – Monday/Wednesday from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at Hi-Ed. Cost: Free
The program provides:
- Pre-testing to determine each student’s needs;
- Classroom instruction;
- Individual and group work in the five GED test areas;
- Open-entry/open-exit format allows students to test when ready.

GED Exam Cost: $100, Presession included.
Writing, Math, Social Studies, Science and Reading. Registration is now being taken. Two forms of ID–one must be a photo. Payment is required with registration before the day of the Presession. Minimum enrollment required for Exam to be held.

The Diploma Program provides adults who want to earn a high school diploma the opportunity to bridge the gap between the General Education Diploma (GED) and skills needed for better job opportunities, a new career, or a successful college experience.
Program presenters include: Family Services, Jamestown Audubon Center, Jamestown Business College, Jamestown Community College, University of Pittsburgh-Bradford.
