Course Providers

As the lead organization in the Warren/Forest area, Hi-Ed has built a bridge between the following providers to offer challenging programs and enriching experiences in Warren, Pennsylvania, for personal and intellectual growth.

Jamestown Community College (JCC)–Warren
Offers undergraduate credit courses, academic and career counseling, personal enrichment courses, and customized training for business and industry.

Gannon University
Offers business and education graduate-level degree and certificate programs.

Daemen College
Offers bachelor degree nursing courses in a combination format-online and through tele-video-conferencing.

Edinboro University
Offers graduate studies through online programs and accrediation.

Community College of Allegheny County

Offers a certificate in Stationary Engineers training programs that provide students the opportunity to acquire the skills needed in multiple maintenance competencies, including electricity, plumbing and boilers.

Ed2Go.com/hied
Offers more than 250 online courses that are project-oriented and include lessons, quizzes, hands-on assignements, discussion areas, supplementary links and more. Each course runs for six weeks with a two-week grace period at the end.

Warren/Forest Higher Education Council

Adult Education
Warren/Forest Higher Education Council offers programming for:
Business and Industry Training, Computer Courses, General Education Diploma Testing, and Personal Enrichment courses for Adults and Youth.

School to Work Partnership (STW)
School to Work Partnership is a program of the Warren/Forest Higher Education Council that supports collaboration with educators, business/industry, parents, and government agencies to develop opportunities for students in grades K-12 to learn about careers and workplace skills; and provides opportunities for high school student to participate in current events. STW also supports staff development opportunities for educators and employers to transfer skills from the classroom and life experience to the workplace.

Intermediate Unit #5
Offers preparation and skill review to help prepare students to take the General Education Diploma (GED) examination. The Skill Review is designed to help students improve their skills in English, writing and math for job advancement and/or college preparation.

Manufacturers Association of Northwest Pennsylvania
Offers a five-part series teaching new and experienced supervisors the skills needed to properly meet company goals, objectives and law compliance with emphasis on management techniques essential to the success of both the supervisor and the organization.

Venango Technology Center
Offers New Choices/New Options, a free program, designed to assist displaced homemakers and adults in transition in making career choices that are right for them. The course provides information on nontraditional careers, career assessment, personal development and job/training search skills.
