Career Education Grants

Vision Statement – The mission of the Warren County School to Work Partnership is to enable all students to make informed career choices, by providing them with opportunities to explore interests and careers.

You may submit your application electronically to John Lasher, or provide seven (7) copies of the completed typewritten Career Education Grant application to the Warren County School to Work office two (2) weeks before any scheduled School to Work Steering Committee meeting. The Steering Committee meets the first Thursday in September, November, February, April and June of each year.

Please be advised that the School to Work Partnership has limited funding for Career Education Grants and your application for funds will be competing with other requests. It is to your advantage to be as detailed as possible in your request and to plan your Career Education Project and submit your request as early in the school year as possible.

Consideration is given to requests that adhere to the following criteria:

• Educators and administrators from any K-12 facility in the Warren County School District may apply.
  
  
• The project must demonstrate a definite career education benefit to the students in grades K-12 within the Warren County School District.
  
  
• The proposal states a clearly defined relationship to the Pennsylvania Department of Education, Career Education and Work Standards. Please refer to the Pennsylvania Department of Education Website at www.education.state.pa.us to view the standards.
  
  
• The funding request does not exceed $1,500. (Please clearly state the amount that you are requesting.)
  
  
• Projects should not include activities routinely funded by the schools.

If the project is funded, you will be required to submit a final report and complete an evaluation.
