School to Work
Hi-Ed’s School to Work program helps students in Warren and Forest counties explore career interests, develop new skills, and discover future educational and career opportunities through hands-on, real-world experiences.
Throughout the school year and summer months, Hi-Ed coordinates a variety of programs and activities that connect students with local businesses, employers, and community organizations. These experiences introduce students to different career paths, help them build valuable skills, and prepare them for life beyond the classroom.
Youth Leadership Program
Hi-Ed’s Youth Leadership Program is designed for students in grades 6–8 and helps them develop leadership skills, build confidence, and become more involved in their schools and communities. Through hands-on activities, guest speakers, community involvement, and interactive experiences, students learn about leadership, teamwork, communication, and the importance of giving back.
The program provides students with opportunities to grow as leaders, make connections, and prepare for their futures.
Career Days
8th Grade Career Day
Warren County School District eighth-grade students participate in an interactive Career Day at the WCSD Central Office, where they meet local employers, explore different career fields, and take part in hands-on activities.
Warren & Forest County Career Day
Held each spring at the Irvine Distribution Center, this event brings together students and local businesses from Warren and Forest counties to explore career opportunities, learn about different industries, and participate in hands-on activities.
Preparing Students for College
COLLEGE TOURS
Throughout the school year, Hi-Ed coordinates college visits for seventh-grade students in Warren and Forest counties. Students have the opportunity to visit local colleges, including Penn State Behrend, to explore campus, participate in workshops, and learn firsthand about college life and future educational opportunities.
College Fair & Financial Aid
Each October, Hi-Ed hosts a College & Career Fair for juniors and seniors in the Warren County School District. More than 50 colleges, trade schools, and military recruiters attend, providing students with information about post-high school education and career opportunities.
Hi-Ed also hosts an annual Financial Aid Night featuring a PHEAA representative who helps students and families understand financial aid options and ways to pay for college.
FAFSA assistance sessions are also offered to help students and families navigate the online FAFSA application process with guidance from a financial aid expert.
SAT Prep
Hi-Ed offers SAT Prep Classes each spring at our location in Warren. This six-week course helps students build test-taking strategies, strengthen their skills, and gain confidence as they prepare for the SAT.

Summer Camps
Hi-Ed offers summer camps beginning the week after school lets out in June for students who have completed grades 3–8. Week-long sessions feature morning and afternoon options, with small class sizes and hands-on activities.
Hi-Ed also partners with the Warren County Career Center to offer Skill Quest Summer Camps for students in grades 6–9, providing opportunities to explore career and technical skills through fun, interactive experiences.
